Updated with a new question...Frustrated mama needs some help
Ok, now do I give her the same amount of milk as I would formula? 24oz a day?
Nina will no longer finish her formula bottles. I put her formula in a cup, still doesn't want it. I put water in the cup, she loves it, I put water in her bottle (just to see if she is just done with bottles) loves it. I mean she will eat 3oz every bottle and that is it. I don't know what to do.

Re: Frustrated mama needs some help
Kristina is doing the same thing!
I was at her ped yesterday - told him that I'm giving her 1/2 the oz in whole milk - other half in form....
He said that's ok!
She drinks her bottles again!

Re: Frustrated mama needs some help
We had to switch my son to whole milk at 10 months because he refused formula.
Talk to your ped about switching or at least mixing the two.

Re: Frustrated mama needs some help
We transitioned at 11 months for the same reason.
And don't be sad! This is a nice step and you will save $$$ not having to buy formula anymore

Re: Updated with a new question...Frustrated mama needs some help
I would stick with the same amount you've been giving her....24 oz. Babies shouldn't get too much milk, so as long as you're mixing it, you'll be fine.
And try not to be sad about starting milk - it's so much easier and cheaper to give them milk!!!
And then, just wait - once the bottles are gone - life is a breeze!!!

Re: Updated with a new question...Frustrated mama needs some help
We moved DS to milk at 10.5 mos and I was sad too - they're really growing up!
24oz is the MAX for milk. We offer DS the full 24; some days he takes all of it, some days he doesn't take as much, but they shouldn't get more than that.
Now that he's been on it for a month, I'm THRILLED With the change to milk I took him off the bottle too - now I can just hand him the cup in his high chair or cruising around and done! And it's so much cheaper

I would go with the same amount that she has been used to. Or, you could start offering more food too.

Re: Updated with a new question...Frustrated mama needs some help
yes, I think 24 oz per day sounds good. I think that is what miki had in the beginning
I can check when I get home and see what the paper from the ped said for her 1 year visit
