Isn't it obvious?

New mommies... it's bath time?

For the brand new mommies...

1. When did you first give baby a bath after bringing them home?

2. What has become your bathtime routine (time of day etc.)

3. How did you bathe the baby? (in bath, just a wash cloth...etc.)

Re: New mommies... it's bath time?

Our ped and the hospital told us to wait until his cord fell off. It fell off yesterday so we will be giving DS his first bath tonight.

We have been giving him sponge baths everyday with Dove soap as per our ped and the hospital.

I am sure we will bathe DS as night until I feel comfortable doing it myself.

1. After the umbilical stump fell off. For DS it was sooner than DD but we still held off. Her's would not fall off until week 3. They had sponge baths before that with a washcloth dipped in warm water

2. We eat dinner at 5 p.m., feed babies btwn 5:30 and 6 p.m., bathe both babies separately after that... takes 1/2 hour to do both and I need DH's help.

3. We have an oversized kitchen sink (when we designed the kitchen, pre-babies, I got on oversized sink for this purpose). Fill up tub with about 2 inches of luke-warm water, put in big teddy bear sponge, use a cup to wet and rinse them down.

1. When did you first give baby a bath after bringing them home? Since I had a sling in my tub, I gave her a bath right from the start but didn't submerge her til her stump fell off.

2. What has become your bathtime routine (time of day etc.) In the late morning.

3. How did you bathe the baby? (in bath, just a wash cloth...etc.) ...In the sling with a washcloth.
