New Mommy Here! Welcome Ethan James!
Hi all,
Haven't been on since forever...After 30 hours of long labor, Ethan came into our lives, via C-section on December 22nd at 12:39am, weighting 8lbs 3oz and 21.5 inches tall.
We are delighted to have this chunk of love in our lives. With his arrival though came some sadness. On Xmas Eve my dad had a stroke. He is under rehab and my mom is tending to him. Jim and I are devastated, and I have been all alone, for the most part, taking care of the baby! Talk about parenting 1010 off the seat of my pants! Dad is doing better day by day, but as you can imagine, it was not what we had in mind for the holidays together. We have been dealing day by day....
Also, a week after my surgery my stitches opened. For the next 5 weeks I have to have a nurse come in to pack them and I unfortunately, cannot leave the house--makes for a lonely time, but we have had some visitors which has helped me greatly. Oh, the importance of friends. Please keep us in your prayers. Here is our baby!!!!!!!! I hopefully will be on more with TONS of questions....

ETA: I am sorry to hear about your dad but glad he is feeling betterl.

Congrats Nancy - he is adorable! I'm sorry about your dad, glad he is on the road to recovery. I'm sure it must be hard - you've had a lot going on at once. Hope you're now recovering better from the c-section too.
