New OB? Delivering at Huntington Hospital
Hey girls,
Does anyone have any suggestions for me on an OB that delivers at Huntington Hospital? My husband and I have decided that we would like to change our OB. She's not very informative, we have to ask her questions without her sharing anything. She doesn't even express what's going on with the sono when she shows us on the screen. She says things like looks good... and that's about it. We have to ask her is that this... is that that.... how strong should the heart be... etc. We are first time parents and this is really frustrating to us both. We have GHI coverage, but if you have any recommendations I will look it up on the computer and see if I'm covered. I went for an ultrascreen yesterday and the technician and the doctor there were so much better... We are just really frustrated with our OB. She smiles, she's soft spoken, but she doesn't talk really, and to be honest with you, I'm not sure how comfortable I feel with her delivering my child. PLEASE HELP!

I use Dr. Scanlon at North Shore Medical Grp. I think he's great! He's extremely personable and I never feel rushed or dismissed.

Thanks- I'll look into North Shore Medical Group! I've never had a male OB, but at this point, I don't think I"m going to care.

I see Dr. Lustberg in Huntington. He is wonderful. The office is very nice too as well as the nurse. It's a private practice so the appointments are always on time and he has evenings available as well which was a must for me since I work in the city. I've seen a number of OB/Gyn's and I've been most satisfied with this one! FM me if you would like more info

I use Dr. Schneider....a partner of Callan. Both are awesome (and females!).

Love Dr Callan...Dr Scanlon delivered my DD and he was awesome! Dr Schneider is nice but my least favorite of the three...I'm also not positive but I don't think she delivers.

I meant to add on my post that there are 3 women in addition to Scanlon and all seem great. I've had to meet with them all incase he's not on call when I deliver.
I never had a male dr before Scanlon, but I like him so much better than my previous female gyno.
