New on this board with question

I am new to this board and I have a question about IVF.

How does the retreival process work & is it painful? Any other info on IVF, please forum mail.

I found the retrieval process to not be all that painful for ivf. There was some slight cramping following the procedure. Ibuprofen took care of any pain that I had.

The ivf retrieval was fine its all the meds and preparation before that is hard. But if it is successful its all worth it. I say go for it if you are in the position to do it. and pray alot!

If you are a control freak,(like me) it is a very daunting because you are not in control. I have to keep telling myself that its something I have to do to get the baby we want.

The retrieval itself isn't a big deal...you are asleep for it. The injections beforehand are the most difficult thing. After the retrieval, more injections and the transfer - which is like an IUI and you are awake for - and then the dreaded 2WW.

I FM you about my experience and like i said it was not Painful at all--I was put to sleep. Also the whole IVF process i thought wasn't bad at all. The worst part in my opinion is giving yourself the shots which you get used to and the 2 week wait to take a pregnancy test.
