New Orleans Restaurants Recommnedations Please.
I am going to New Oreleans for 5 nights in June for business..I've already been there 2x. I'm looking for some restaurant recommendations - NOT Commander's Palace, Brennans, Court of Two Sisters or Arnaud's.
Looking for something else...not the usual suspects.
Thanks in advance.

I am so jealous! I love NOLA!
These are the must do places the last few times I went to New Orleans in addition to brunch at Commander's Palace.
Mr. Bs Bistro is one of my favorite restaurants.
Antoine's it's a few blocks from bourbon street but it's really delicious.
Desire in the Royal Sonesta Hotel has great great po boys.
I know we walked in a couple of places on Bourbon that were good but I can't for the life of me remember their names. One has a big double gate in front of the entrance and another one had a relative of one of the 2008 NY Giants working at the door. I should note that there's lots of alcohol involved.

Stella in the Quarter is excellant. I also like Brighstens (Sp?) You would need to take the trolley or taxi there but it is really good.
ETA - Mr. B's is famous for their bbq shrimp appeitzer. Also, I think it's called the gumbo shop in the Quarter. It has good gumbo and I loved the boudin - it is a sausage stuffed with rice and it is sooo good!
ETA - Magazine Street in the garden district has great restaurants too and I think it is less touristy Le Petit Grocery is excellant as well as Martinique, Lilete and the Upperline which is supposed to be amazing as well. My family and I love NOLA and we love to eat. If you want more rec's please fm me.

We loved Emeril's Delmonico. It's not in the touristy area, but it's excellent, amazing service.
