New washer and dryer
We are replacing our washer and dryer in the next couple of weeks. I only want a top load washing machine (I grew up with front loaders and am not as crazy about them as most people are) and was looking for feedback on 1) stores with the best deals and 2) what brands are the best value for money?

There is a Sears appliance outlet in Babylon which carries appliances with slight scratches/dents, and I have friends who got GREAT deals there! It's in the shopping center with Kmart. Definitely worth checking out! Often the dents or scratches are on the back or side and not even noticable.

The very old machines we have now are Whirlpool and they do seem to have lasted a long time.

Same for us. I bought our set last February and I LOVE IT!!! I can fit so much into the loads.

i third the Whirlpool Cabrio! we have the top loading washer and front loading dryer.. LOVE them! its amazing the amount of stuff you can fit in one load!! and they're also HE, so i like the fact that it saves water and electric we've had them about a year and half, and love them so far!
