New York City Teacher health insurance
I need to pick one. What do you have and do you like it? Also my husband will be joining me on it.

Re: New York City Teacher health insurance
I have HIP and have been pretty happy with it. Most of my co-workers have GHI and I haven't heard many complaints about that one either. Those are the two I'd recommend (and there are rumors of a HIP-GHI merger anyway)

I have GHI. I picked this plan based on the opinions of others in my building. I just finished my first year of teaching and overall the plan was good. It is supposedly ok for singles or couples. Once people have kids they look into the other plans. I had no problem with GHI.

Re: New York City Teacher health insurance
I usually go with a ppo due to the freedom. Anyone know the main difference between the PPO, EPO, and POS. I'm on the website but there is so much info, I'm getting a headache. Also I don't want anything to come out of my pay check. Is there a web page that discusses that... i can't seem to find it. Thanks for you help everyone.

GHI here. It's pretty much what everyone has.

GHI. It's free! I've had it for 6 years and haven't had a problem. You don't need referrals, which is great. The copay doubled, though, since I started - it was $10 and now it's $20, I think.

GHI CBP/Empire (which is totally confusing me) or GHI HMO?

I prefer GHI/CBP or whatever the order is.
