Newbie to IVF
Ladies, you have been so helpful in the past I thought I would ask for some more help/guidance.
I am a teacher. I would love to have my IVF cycle happen this summer. But...I would be packing up my classroom and all that wonderful stuff at the end of June. I just came off the pill and I am waiting for AF to come. Should I go with this cycle or wait for another cycle? How does scheduling work? Can I plan with the DR? I would definately like retrival and the "put back" (I FORGOT THE TERM!) in the beg. of July/mid July. I am in a wedding in mid July too. Is this possible? When should I think about doing this? Thoughts?
I am just putting all this out there because I am so new to this. Is there any website you would suggest to teach me about IVF? I am curious. I read PennyCat's journal---thanks amillion---.
THANKS! And

Re: Newbie to IVF
a full ivf cycle takes about 3 weeks or so. If a wedding is mid july you would need to start by mid june the latest or wait till after the wedding.
It all depends upon how your body reacts to all of the stim meds.
Are you in nassau or suffolk county? Who is your ER? Protocol is a bit different at each facility.

Re: Newbie to IVF
From AF to 5 day transfer took just under 3 weeks. But my Dr. did not need to put me on BC first. I do not ovulate on my own. I do not know how long that process takes. I would set up a consult with your Dr and go from there.
