Newborn drs appts?
Just wondering how long after you leave the hospital does the baby have to go to the ped?

mine did 2 days later, then a week after that. then when he was a month old- so 2-3 weeks later? BUT- I ebf 2 kdis so far, so they wanted to make sure he was gaining. I dont know if ped has a different schedule for ff kids kids. i dont htink so, though

we were in there every day after his birth for 3 days, his jaundice numbers where high and we needed to retest.
FYI: Its quite common for jaundice to appear in BF babies. There was a horrible storm during the time, I couldn't even take him out for a little sun to help him out.

Mine was at the ped the day after we got home.
My ped is not affiliated with the hospital I delivered at so they wanted to see DD as soon as we were out of the hospital. I had to call after delivery to let them know I had the baby so they could give me the appointment.

The pediatrician in the hospital said if DS was BF, then to go within 2-3 days.
If FF, then within a week of being released.

We went 2 days after we got home, then a week later. DD has trouble gaining weight so we went the next week as well. Then 1 month and every month until 6 months.

i had twins so we came home on sunday and went to the drs on tuesday,
then at 2 weeks after birth and the 3 weeks after birth to make sure they were gaining weight
and now we don't go back till 2 months

I think it depends on whether or not you're FF or BF because with Ava we were in the dr.'s office the day after I got out of the hospital bc I was BF, with Chase, it was a week after he was born and I'm FF. Then his 1 month visit.
