Newborn hair falling out

They said at the hospital that her hair would fall out, and then new I guess "permanent" hair would grow in. I noticed over the last day or so, that Sasha's hair is falling out.

When did your newborn lose their hair?

When did it start growing back?

And, when it grew back was it a different color?

at about 2 months it started falling out mostly in the back - at almost 4 months its still falling out

My DS had a decent amount of hair when he was born--it took a while to fall out (started on the back & sides where the pressure was when he slept)----and didn't really start to grow in well until he was 7 or 8 months---he is now 13 months and needs a little haircut! When he was born he had reddish brown hair---now its a bit lighter, more blond/reddish

DDs hair fell out about one month after she was born. Only on the top though. DH used to joke and say she looked like Don Rickles...

It started growing back as fuzzies about a mth later, same color as when she was born (blondish brown)

Even though I knew it would fall out, it upset me b/c I thought we did something wrong (we used shampoo and then it happened). But after reading more, i realized it was normal.
Now at 3 mths, her sides and back have thinned out/fell out a bit.

I hope that doesn't mean mine is next.

DS was born with a FULL head of hair
it looks somewhat thinner then when he was born
he is 9 1/2 weeks old

but it never fell out in clumps where it was noticable

my son was born with jet black hair. He started losing it at 8 weeks when his cradle cap was horrible. I would come out the flakes and chunks of hair would come out with it. Now he is almost 18 weeks old and his hair has grown back.

Sydnie's started falling out around 3-4 weeks later. She had a bad bald spot in the back. It has grown in a lot in the last month (month 5). It has grown in a lot lighter too. She only has a tiny bit of original hair on the top of her head. She had soooo much when she was born!

DD's hair fell out right away. She was a little baldy for a while. When she was born she had dark brown hair. Now it's sort of light brown, auburnish, with blondish highlights. It took a while for it to grow back....I think around 6 months she actually had a presentable amount of hair.

DD's hair started to fall out after 1-2 months. We didn't realize how bald she was until we looked back at her baby pics. Her hair started to grow back around 6 or 7 months. It was originally a strawberry blond - now it's more of a dirty blond.

Ava's hair started falling out at around 2 months I'd say.....when she was born it was a really dark brown.....then it grew back in a very light brown.

Chels' hair started falling out at around 7-8 weeks...it started on the sides like a balding man...i see some fuz growing back darker..she was born with light brown hair, and its coming in a little darker...

Ds was born with dark brown hair and around 3-4 months it all fell out and around 4-5 month it started coming in light blond. Now at 22 months his hair is a little darker...like dirty blondish color

DS is going on 4 months this week and never lost any of his hair. He was born with a full head of hair

Ds is slowly shedding his hair, mostly on top. It started falling at about 3 weeks. It's beginning to grow in blonde! I think I have a blondie on the way!!! lol
