Q re: Newborn Hair Growth
So I just noticed today (because someone else pointed it out to me) that DS's hair (he is 7 wks) is growing more in some areas than others and he has noticibly less hair in the middle of the back of his head and on the sides. Is this my fault? Could it be he is spending too much time on these areas or is it normal for the hair to grow in irregularly?

babies usually have less hair in the back from sleeping on their back for long periods of time. But it will grow in normally as DC gets older. Its normal.

See that's the thing - I'm crazy about that so many times I put him on his side - bad I know but maybe that is why it is happening on the side too? I've just been so careful not to let him lean on one side too long its making me crazy!

Dont worry. Its normal. If you are putting DS on his side, even if you are alternating, that is the reason why the hair is not as full in those areas. But as he gets older, the hair will begin to fill in.
Dont look at my DD, she was born with a full head of hair as you can see from my pic. But even with all of that hair, it is not as full in the back. It is thinner. But I am noticing that as she is getting older and she rolls and turns in her sleep, her hair in the back is filling in more now. She will be 6months in 2 weeks.
HTH Dont worry.
