newborns and sleeping
I am going to the doctor today so I will ask her when I get there but DS is 5 days old and he sleeps ALL the time! Last night DH put him down at 11, he slept until I woke him up for a feeding at 3 then he went down at 4 and slept until 7. I fed him at 7:30 and he fell asleep around 8:30/9. I woke him up at around 11 to feed him and he fell back to sleep as soon as he was done and he has been sleeping ever since. Is this a problem? TIA!

Re: newborns and sleeping
ryan is 4 weeks old...and for the first 2 weeks he slept all the time!!!! he would wake up to eat and then fall asleep at the end of the bottle. Its totally normal ...i actually found a website that said in the first few weeks they generally sleep 16-20 hours a day!!! the doc did say to wake him every 2 hours to feed him during the day though.

Re: newborns and sleeping
at that age I kept wondering why everyone was saying how hard it was having a baby! And then about 2 weeks passed and all hell broke loose
It's totally normal behavior, enjoy it while you can!!
