Im thinking that your DD might have acid refux...She is irritable because when you lay her down it hurts. Maybe call the doctor and tell them what's goign on. She might need some meds.
Reflux is very common in young infants.

Thanks for all the suggestions girls.
I went out today and picked up a starter pack of dr browns bottles and am going to see if maybe that will make a difference.
we have a ped appointment in a week so hopefully I will have some things figured out by then.

Def. let her sleep during the day. Sleep begets sleep.
Also, do you swaddler her?

Some people mentioned it, but keep the room as dark as you can at night, and during night time feedings. Sounds like she is just confused between day and night. Once we started keeping it dark in the room for night feedings, she learned quickly to sleep.
good luck! The first few weeks are the roughest!
