Next issue - chimney (fireplace) cleaning
How much does this cost and if i need a new liner (have no clue yet) how does that cost.

No recommendations but watch out...they always try to sell you repairs and service you dont need which is $$$.
When we moved in we had to have the inside liner replaced and I believei t was over $1k.

I think our cleaning was like $90 for the furnace and fireplace. They also tried to tell us we needed to put that stainless lining in, which costs about 1500, but it really wasn't something that needed to be done right now, they just always try to get you to do more than the cleaning and offer you discounts if you book right then.

a lot of chimney cleaners have the rep of selling uneccesary repairs... I'd start with a BBB recommended company
