Nice $$ gift for a Christening....
I have not been to too many Christenings. I am Jewish. My friend from college had a baby and he is being Christened in June and we cannot attend becuase we are obligated to be going to my bosses' daughter's wedding, and I got the invite for the wedding first. What is a nice gift to give, money wise? I was thinking along the lines of 100.00 and when I see the baby I have a handmade frame my SIL makes to give the baby. Is the 100.00 enough since we are not going? and then when I see the baby the frame? ( PS she makes nice frames if anyone is interested just FM mail me.) Thanks in advance.

$100 is very nice! IMO
that's what we gave DH's cousin - we couldn't make the Christening since it was out of state.

Re: Nice $$ gift for a Christening....
Thank you for responding so fast. I feel so bad we cannot make the Christening, it is in Brooklyn and the wedding is a few hours later in Great River. I thought we could do it but it would be crazy rushing and we would not be relaxed when we got to the wedding. I hope she understands.

You answered my question, then 100.00 is more then generous for not attending.
