nice/cheap decorations...
wheres a good place? im looking for decorations for the christening.
also i think im going to make chocolate crosses as a favor...what do you think? its going to be a backyard bbq so i dont want to go crazy

I would keep it clean, simple and tasteful. I'm not the paper decorations type, but instead, I would get nice white linens for the tables, maybe tie some bows around the back of the chairs and get some fishbowls and buy some roses and put them in the fishbowls.
Nice and simple.

That sounds nice, i think decorations depend on where u have it, like if oyu do a backyard thing than you can get more but in a restaurant i would keep it more simple with linens etc

Did you check orientaltrading.com? They always have a bunch of stuff for reasonable prices.

I second Dollar Tree. Cheap/nice paper goods...or you can find some discontinued items at Party City sometimes for reasonable prices.

We are keeping it simple and doing flower centerpieces (bowls with roses or other bulk flower on sale), mini chocolate bars in personalized wrappers on the tables, and favors (small jar yankee candles wrapped in tulle with ribbon).

Me too! I hope most of our guests like them-but if not, that's okay. They can leave the behind and I'll take them home!
