Re: Nicholas Sparks ?

The Notebook
The Guardian
Message in a Bottle
The Wedding
The Last Song
A Bend in the Road
A Walk to Remember

are all good ones.

All his books are quick reads and good. They all for the most part are tear jerkers.

Re: Nicholas Sparks ?

They are all great books but someone always dies. I really liked Dear John, Message in a Bottle, The Last Song, The Notebook, The Wedding - the Wedding is the 2nd book to the Notebook. I've read them all. Nights in Rodanthe is his shortest I believe, it gives you a good feel for his writing, it's one of my favs.

Re: Nicholas Sparks ?

I think i read Message in a Bottle and then The Notebook and then vowed to never read another of his books again!

i end up bawling at the end of every one, and I realized that they're all just too tragic for me

Re: Nicholas Sparks ?

I own all of his books. I love them, but they are all sad romances. After awhile, they begin to feel a little formulaic, but I still like them.

I believe Message in A Bottle is his first one, and I loved that one. They are really all good. You can start anywhere.

Re: Nicholas Sparks ?

Like everyone else mentioned, he writes sad romance stories, but they are lovely. This past week, I've read Safe Haven (I believe his most recent) and also, The Guardian. I am now reading The Rescue. I like that all of his books originate from something/someone in his life. All of them are great; pick one and enjoy! Chat Icon
