Nickerson Beach Cabanas

I entered the lottery for a cabana at Nickerson Beach- does anyone have a cabana there? Are the cabanas/pool/playground nice? I know they did some renos after Sandy. How many years do you get the cabana for? Do tons of people enter the lottery- do you think there is a good shot at getting one?

I believe if you get one it is for 3 years and then you go back into the lottery. That is how it used to be but it may have changed in the last few years.

We moved from there to Pt. Lookout when they were still in the lottery system. There is still a lot of who you know regardless of what they say. Things could have changed, it has been 3 years since we are out of our cabana and the first year no one entered the lottery since we have all moved out of the TOH.

I've had a cabana there for a few years. You have one for 3 years and then have to go into the lottery. There is a west and east side. Both are nice but a little different. Each cabana has electricity and shower. The pools and playgrounds are nice. We have to go back into the lottery this year, hoping to get a cabana again.
