Night one of CIO
45 minutes later, she's fast asleep
Question---if she wakes(which I'm sure she will) during the night, don't go in, right?????
She was so great since 4 weeks old, and since 3 months in her crib. I think teething threw her off. The past 3 weeks I've been using the swing to get her to sleep and them quickly transferring her into her crib, well she goes haywire. So I've been letting her sleep with me.
As much as I love to for my little angel to curl up underneath my arm every night and I wake up to her playing with my face, I HAVE to nip this in the bud, before I have a toddler sleeping with me.
So I'm giving it a whirl. Not so bad for the first night. The 45 minutes wasn't a loud scream, more of a moan.
Wish me luck for the right of the night(and week).

Re: Night one of CIO
When she wakes in the middle of the night- go in and keep it short and sweet-
Give her- her binky or a little pat on the back and then exit-
I did this in 5 min intervals-
5 min then waited 10 min then waited 15 min then waited 20min
(and for the most part it should be over by then)
Good luck!
It is very very hard... but for the most part you should see amazing progress by night 1 and or 2

I completely agree. Go in to let her know you're still there for her, but keep it short to make her aware that it's still night time and still time to sleep. We also did this in 5 minute intervals. The first night we started with 5 minutes, then 10, etc. The second night we started with 10 minutes, then 15, etc. The third we started with 15. By the third night, DS had gotten the idea and was done crying within 5 minutes.

Truthfully CIO is way to hard at this age-
Once they can call you (ma-ma, ma-ma) it breaks your heart BIG time-
and they REALLY know how to "work it" Ryan will literally YELL, and SCREACH on the top of his lungs to get out of his bed...
