Nikon & Camera Junkie Mamas...Lens Question...
SO I want a lens upgrade for my b-day (just have the basic one that came w/ my D-40) I'm looking into the 55-200 VR...I did a search on this site & read that these babies can get pricey, so I just started searching & came upon this site- can you tell me if this is a good deal ? TIA!

That does look like a good price for that lens though I can't vouch for the site - I've never dealt with them.
I would just make 1000% sure that it really is the USA version. Most Nikon lenses are available in the USA version (fully covered under Nikon warranty in the US) and then there are the "gray" market lenses that are usually denoted as "Imported" they are always slightly cheaper than the US versions but you can't get them serviced here if something goes wrong.
The fact that they are listing the 1 yr "USA warranty" makes me a little cautious - I would just double check that it is the USA model.
ETA - I just checked B&H and they list it as coming with 5 yr warranty. That's a red flag to me.

Exactly my thought. You have to find if it's a USA version or an imported.
Some are also refurbished.
I would look from a reputable place.
I know Amazon had issues of complaints with imported version and not disclosing it.
