Eh, it's standard.

Not expensive, not exactly a hot deal either.

B&H has it for $264.95 Chat Icon

That's an all around lense.

Instead of having a lense of 18-55 and a lense for 55-200, that lense does 18-135. There is a lense 18-200 VR (the one I really want) and it's 1 lense instead of 2 but it's $$$$$$. So because it's limited to 135mm it will not get the zoom of the 200mm but I don't have to changes lenses either.

It's the lens' focal range.

An 18-135mm lens is a wide to telephoto zoom. At 18mm - it's a wide angle lens - you can be standing very close to a subject and still fit in alot of the scene.

At 200mm you are very zoomed in. So you can be far away and zoom in pretty close.

So if I have the 18-135 on my camera and you have the 55-200 on your camera and we are both standing in the same spot shooting our kid's soccer game for example - you'll be able to zoom in much more.

However if we are shooting a birthday party and standing 5 feet from the kid blowing out the candles, I can fit everyone in the scene and you would have to step back... pretty far back to fit everyone in.

Hope that helps!

Bummer B&H is a NY store so your gonna have to pay tax. IT sucks 90% of the camera stores online are from NY.
