Nipple Cream???
Does this actually exist or do people just mean regular hand lotion?I have looked for it literally in 5 different stores, including Buy buy Baby and can't find it There's all other kinds of lotions and creams but nothing that says it is specially for nipple/breast soreness.  I've looked in baby sections and regular lotion sections... What am I missing???

It's not actually cream -- it's more like vasiline consistency. Lansinoh is the most popular brand (it's just pure lanolin) and what they also gave me at the hospital. You can find it around the BF supplies like the pumps and stuff usually. I've even seen it at places like Rite Aid, so it's definitely around. It comes in a little purple tube.

There is a such thing as nipple cream but I learned from a good friend who is a lactation consultant that the best thing for chapped nipples is breast milk. I always hand expressed some and rubbed some around my nipples and I never had any issues.

If you are using Lansinoh or any of those ointments, make sure you get some breast pads to protect your bras/shirts. That stuff is a NIGHTMARE to get out of your clothing!

But I actually didn't bother buying any. Hospital will give you enough to get through the first few weeks which is really the only time I needed it.

If by "give" you mean charge you $8.44 for a tube the size of your thumb, yes, they have it there... lol
Thank goodness my deductible was met!!!!
