No AF, BFN...UPDATED..BFN AGAIN!!
So I'm really thinking I didn't Ovulate this cycle, since I'm at CD 38 (I usually get AF at CD 35).
I broke down and tested this morning, but I only had a digital, which flashed a big NOT PREGNANT at me. Good morning to you too!!
And I'm also feeling really weird, like there is a big rock in my belly. It feels full even when I haven't eaten and I have these weird cramps.
I have no idea what's going on...

So I called my doctor today to ask for a beta and progesterone test because I still have no AF, and he said no!!
He said if a HPT isn't showing a positive, then I'm not pregnant and just wait it out. He's going to call me tomorrow to see if an HPT has registered a positive yet and if not talk about next steps. But no blood test.
I'm so annoyed!!

HUMPH! not very nice of your doctor! I'm sorry Lauren- I'm wishing for you that this gets figured out for you tomorrow! Hopefully, he will talk to you at length tomorrow about next steps and let you see him this week...or of course, you will have a BFP tomorrow...

That's horrible! Not every woman shows a positive on a HPT! Call you Gp and ask for a bloodtest - they will order one for you!

I am sorry Lauren. The only next step I can see this doctor doing is prescribing provera. However, he should always give you a beta before putting you on provera.
Just to let you know a girl on these boards, was put on provera....because her cycle was long. She ended up conceiving, late in her cycle. The provera...never brought on her AF, and that's what made her see her ob/gyn.
Provera is a synthetic progestin, and doctors need to make sure there is no pregnancy before prescribing it.
Please make an appointment with RMA...they have a great reputation !

Thanks. I was on Provera to bring on AF when they first started me on the Clomid. My doctor did NOT do a beta first - his exact words were "If you period doesn't start then you are pregnant - it won't hurt."
I called RMA and their Client Liason has called me, but we are playing phone tag. I really like my doctor, but the longer I'm with him, the more I realize he has no idea what he's talking about when it gets to the more complicated stages of TTC.

So another BFN this morning.
I don't understand!! Why isn't the Clomid working this time!?!
I was doing so well with my emotions this month, but I lost it this morning.
I got my hopes up because I have only been late on the Clomid once before and that was when I was pregnant.
Ugh!

He was supposed to call me back today but didn't. His office said he was gone for the day when I called around 4:00.
I was so ticked off. I'll badger them tomorrow again - I need to know whether to start the Prometrium or not.

Lauren, I feel so bad for you sweetie! This really stinks huh?
First, call your Dr and insist on a beta, INSIST, cry ( blame the clomid) and freak out till you getthe darn blood test so you can not go insane..
Then , find a new dr. Im starting to get worried for you, because you are always so upbeat about this TTC stuff and Im getting afraid this Dr's decisions are not the best for you.
Whatever you decide, Im sending you lots of baby dust and hugs..I knwo how stressed you must be!

Just wondering if you tested this morning and if there was anything different staring you in the face. I agree with dm24angel about pleading with your doctor to get the beta done. I am sorry your doctor seems so blase about this
