no iui this month...missed ovulation

I was supposed to O last week and as of Friday I still did not have a surge. So my RE told me if I do not surge over the weekend to come in on Monday. So I tested all weekend and no Chat Icon so I go yesterday and he gives me a sono and he says that I ovulated already! Sometime b/t Friday and yesterday I ovulated. I don’t understand why the OPK didn't detect it. I tested twice both AM and PM sat and Sunday. So upset. We did Chat Icon Thursday Night and Saturday and I had 4 follies so Chat Icon maybe we will get lucky.

pleaseChat Icon Chat Icon that this happened for a reason and we will get pregnant on our own this month.

TIA

wait, your RE is telling you to use OPKs? I'm not really educated on this but isnt that their job to track your ovulation? Why do they tell patients to use OPKs?

Yes, some offices do this instead of using a trigger. Pump me up with a little HCG and time me, thank you!

Yes, I did a combination of OPKs, bw and sono's. I went in on thursday and friday and I guess because I still didn't surge on Friday I he told me to test over the weekend with the opk. I went back on Monday for another sono and bw and he said we missed it.

Is this normal?

Re: no iui this month...missed ovulation

I am surprised they didnt trigger you...my RE at first said that I should opk's and just wait & see...but I said I would like to time my IUI's as perfectly as I could so I wouldnt miss it...if this cycle is a bust you may want to consider a trigger...but I am hoping this is the cycle you get a BFP!!!
