No more coffee table!
Lily smacked her mouth into the living room coffee table tonight and her top gum started bleeding. So it's gone.
And I made her promise me to never bleed again. 
Now she's not allowed to ever vomit or bleed again because it scares me too much!

Aw, I hear you on the coffee table thing! Ours has been gone for a couple of months now... and has been replaced by the ottoman from my big, soft, squishy chair! Can't hurt himself on that!

Someone on here recommended this a few months ago. I bought it and LOVE it! I still have a 2 1/2 year old who falls into everything. I HIGHLY recommend this!

Aww, poor Lily 
When I was pregnant with DS, we replaced our glass cocktail table with this ottomon. We wanted something more child friendly and easier to clean.
The little shelf things push in.

That's great!!
The coffee table is about the same size as the one shown, so it would probably work for us!
Although, the room seems so much bigger without it....we might just keep it out!

We had it in the room before she arrived and then we took it out for a little while...but put it back in there. She was so good with it, she'd knock into it a few times - nothing serious. It was actually a pretty good teaching device because she had mastered bending down to pick somehting up while holding onto it, and then moving her head out of the way on the way back up so she didn't knock into it.
That was why we kept it in there...it was really helping her. But after yesterday, I'm scarred....I kept replaying the incident in my head and that table will not return until after she's married!!

Awww poor baby.. Im right there with you when it comes to blood. Whenever Kaila gets hurt and there's blood involved you'd think she was gushing.. I freak!

We got rid of ours once DS started cruising. When my sister and I were little, we were running around our living room and my sister tripped, hit the corner of the coffee table and put a huge hole in her head that needed stitches. I never forgot that and didn't want to take any chances.
