No more High Heels for me...
I took a bad fall on Tuesday right outside a Buy Buy Baby store and ended up in Winthrop's New Life Center for 5 hours. I fell right onto my stomach and hands. Luckily the baby is ok and the placenta didn't detach or anything. I was having slight contractions so they had to monitor me for over 4 hours. I was surprised at how upset I was. I can't imagine something happening to the baby at this point, especially due to my stupidity for wearing high heels. Thank god everything is ok!

Re: No more High Heels for me...
I always wear high heels, I mean always, so for fear I might fall b/c of my obsession with wearing heels, I went out and bought a pair of flats as soon as I found out I was pregnant.
As soon as I walked into the office one morning wearing them, everyone looked at me and said "OMG Youre Pregnant!!"
Be careful...and just wear comfortable shoes from now on...Glad everything is ok now!

Re: No more High Heels for me...
Thanks!
I know, I have a hard time surrendering the high heels. I try to wear not SO frumpy clothes and still wear a lot of my regular stuff because I don't want to look and feel frumpy but... I guess I am going to have to for the sake of my baby. I actually felt guilty that I almost hurt my baby over not wanting to give up my high heels. And people had said to me "you shouldn't be wearing heels" and I didn't listen. Needless to say, I'm in flats today.

so happy to hear that you and baby are okay!!!! It must have been so scary for you.
I retired the heels also for the commute, though i still wear them in the office. I guess I should really stop doing that also.

Re: No more High Heels for me...
I'm glad you're okay!!
I rarely wear high heels but I did fall once while pg (I slipped in the rain wearing flats) and I was SO shaken up, even though I landed on my hands and knees and my belly was completely safe. I felt guilty for walking too fast when it was slippery outside so I know how it feels.
