Non-restaurant shower locations?

My MIL wants to plan my baby shower at a non-restaurant location. Ideally we would have it at her house or one of our other family members' homes, but with such a big family (40+ with just cousins and aunts) we can't fit everyone in one room of the house for the shower....We were thinking of looking at a local community center or a firehouse, but our local fire dept doesn't rent out their space and our church doesn't have a fellowship hall...
any suggestions?
We're on the south shore...any help would be great....

Knights of Columbus, Veterans Hall etc...

The Irish & Italian Centers in my neighboorhood also rent out their space. I don't think you need to be members.

I had my son's birthday party in Seaford at the VFW hall. Are you in Nassau or Suffolk?

There is a hall you can Rent on Sunrise Hwy by the Oakdale merge on the south side. It is in the shopping center with a taxidermy and fishing place. I think it may be called An Elegant Affair, but not sure. I have been to 2 parties there and it was very nice.

The Oar in Patchogue has a space you can rent, its a small building separate from the resturaunt, really just one big room with lots of tables. We had my SIL's bridal shower there and it was nice, the food was good and I think it was reasonably priced.
