Nook Color- glare question
If you have a nook color have you had ANY difficulty reading in direct or bright sunlight, or had an issue with glare/reflections?

Re: Nook - glare question
I've never had any difficulty, beach reading, car, home, out. Never had a problem with a glare.

Re: Nook - glare question
Nope. Being able to read outside is one of the reasons I didn't get a Nook Color.

thanks ....I meant the nook color, so it is an issue?
I was asking bc I like all of the features of it, but heard its virtually impossible to read outside.
I have a kindle but was thinking of making the switch, but not if I cant see the darn thing, LOL.

Nook Color is back lit so it's like a computer screen. You will definitely have issues reading outside.

thanks! thats what I thought! You just saved me $50 bucks!
I will maybe just switch to the regular old nook, I really want to be able to borrow books from the library. While Id have to shell out more money for another e-reader, itll be worth it in the long run if I were to continue DLing for the kindle at 9.99/book.

Re: Nook Color- glare question
We have both a regular Nook and a Nook Color. It's definitely harder to read the NC outside than the regular Nook. Not impossible, but I much prefer my regular one outdoors.

Re: Nook Color- glare question
It definitely has a glare, but I have both so I just use the regular Nook when I'm outdoors. I hated the Nook for night time reading though, Nook Color is much better in that regard IMO

Have you ever used a Nook Color outside? It seems from this post that you don't own one so I'm curious how you answered.
I have read mine outside and had no problems at all. I did have to adjust the brightness up but I usually keep it almost all the way down.
