nook help!
I finally got my bonus and I'm going to order my nook. My question is the difference between the $150 and $200 nook. Is the only difference the 3g wireless option?

Yep!
Personally, I'd splurge for the 3G one. I LOVE being able to download books anywhere--on the beach, on the train, visiting friends. For me, that's what really makes the nook worth it.

Re: nook help!
Yup, that's the only difference.
I got the wifi, I've never wanted to dl a new book to my Nook and not been near a hotspot. But I'm not commuting, so that might have made me feel differently, and for at least the next few years when I'm at the beach I have to keep my eyes on my kids. I used the $50 on books instead.
Either way, you are going to love your Nook.

Ditto. I know when I'm getting close to finishing a book - so when I'm near the end I just download another book in preparation.

Re: nook help!
thanks ladies! I'm torn, it's only $50 more so I'm thinking why not get the nook with the 3g but on the other hand I also won't need to d/l a book so desperately that I can't wait until I'm near a location with bluetooth. In the meantime I could have had the friggin nook in my hands at this point if I decided which one I wanted to buy

Re: nook help!
There are still free hotspots everywhere. Rest stops, barnes and nobles, mcdonalds, starbucks all have free wifi. Even in a foreign country you can find a mcdonalds.
Also, ANY AT&T hotspot. If you connect with a Nook it's free (but pay for everyone else.)
Are you going to be paying for your books or are you going to be using the library? If you're going to be using the library, those MUST be sideloaded (ie. USB cable from a computer.) You can't D/L to your Nook directly from the library. Maybe that helps your decision.
I've had my Nook for 3 months now, have read about 26 books and I have only purchased 1 book! (which I d/l over wifi but just because it was right after I just purchased it and had it hooked up to the wifi.) I don't even keep the wifi connection on, I keep it on airplane mode to help get more battery life.
Either way I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Re: nook help!
I got mine before they had the wifi only option. LIKE 1 WEEK BEFORE!
I had the option to return it and decided not to. For $50, I don't feel I have any limitations to go anywhere with it.
And with all the free books I get from the library the extra $50 was more than repaid.
