Nordstrom has frye boots and hunter boots on sale!!! With a question about hunter boots

I saw 259 for amazing frye boots that were originally over 400!!! Sadly they didn't fit over my fat calves. I have plus sized calves and a non plus sized body. So annoying.


Hunter question. I tried on hunter and they were very tight on the calves which I expected. And the huntress aren't on sale. Anyway. I am going to order the huntress. My question is about the height. I am 5'1". I wear short length jeans. I don't want the short style. Is the tall style really tall? Is the original style shorter than the "tall" style. Or are they the same thing. I have read reviews about them cutting into the back do the knees of short girls. But I am to sure if they are talking about the original or the original tall. So confusing. The huntress original are listed at 14 inches shaft height and the original tall are 16 inches. Any short girls have experience?

Also I am obsessed with these and I may cry myself to sleep because they don't fit over my calves and they don't come with a wide calf.
Link to boots they also didn't have them in brown. And the black wasn't nearly as pretty.
