North Babylon School District?
How is it? Looking at a house in the area just off sunrise hwy on route 34 Deer Park Ave. Does anyone know about the area around there

I lived in North Babylon and honestly I dont think I would want to live on Deer Park Avenue...

Is it the old deer park ave, like the one with dairy barn on the south side? That's a pretty busy road. I have heard mixed on the school district. For us, a house on a double yellow was a deal breaker, to much noise traffic accidents and with a kid to much to worry about. Jmo.

I agree that it is a REALLY busy road. I think the school district is more or less in the middle... not one of the top on LI, but definitely not one of the worst. My thing would be that road.... Super busy and LOTS of traffic noise.

Deer Park Avenue is very busy. IMO, I would stay away from North Babylon School District.

I would definitely suggest looking in other areas. There are many blocks that are in Deer Park, but are in the Half Hollow Hills school district. Excellent district and comparable house prices to North Babylon.
Good Luck!! Check out Newsday online for financial/assessment information for each school district you are considering living in.

Sorry guys it's not on deer park ave. but in that area. It's blocks behind that pastora or whatever that place is that makes pasta.

I grew up right there. My opinion is...NB schools are not good at all. I would steer clear.

I grew up in NB and went to school there...many moons ago.  It wasn't a bad district then but I have heard that its gone down over the years. Too bad because its a great are to live in.
