Students at Robert Moses Middle School in North Babylon were evacuated and bused to the district's high school Thursday afternoon after a report of a possible bomb threat, according to the district's Web site.

The message on the Web site read, in full:

"Good Afternoon, this is Dr. Aloise, the North Babylon School District Superintendent. I was recently informed by the Middle School Principal, of the need to evacuate the Robert Moses Middle School, based on a report of a possible bomb threat. As per the District's evacuation plan, all Middle School students are being bussed to the High School for the remainder of the afternoon. All Middle School students will be dismissed from the High School at the regular dismissal time. Members of the 1st Police Precinct and our Security Team will sweep the Middle School to make sure that it is safe for school Friday, May 30th. I will send out a second ConnectEd communication this afternoon regarding the status of our Middle School."
