North Shore LIJ Human Reroduction

Dh and I are seeing Dr. Rosenfeld there and so far so good. we like it there. we felt like everyone was SO helpful answering my million and one questions and the dr. took so much time telling us everything. Just wanted to see if anyone eles is using them and how they felt about it there.

I saw Dr. Hershag and I didn't have a good first impression.

He rushed us, didn't let us ask questions and forgot to give me important info like a script for the HSG and the number for the radiologist.

I'm giving him one more chance, I may switch doctors or practices.

I saw Dr. Rosenfeld too and I love him.

I went today and saw Rosenfeld for the first time... He was amazing, answered all my questions and the staff was very helpful too!

I did and was a success. All the Dr's were great and me and DH were very happy there.

I love NSUH. My main dr was Chu, but I saw a lot of Scholl and Cohen. The nursing staff is wonderful too, truly compassionate.

I was with them for almost a year and they got me pregnant even though I was a huge challenge for them. I like that they talk about cases during their staff meetings so I got the expertise of all doctors not just one doctors opinion.

I interviewed several other REs on the island and I liked them the best. If you are unhappy with Hershlag, try a different one in the practice.

I saw Dr. Chu there and sometimes Dr. Cohen too. I really liked them and they got me pregnant (with twins)

I'm going there too. At first I saw Dr. Rosenfeld whom I loved. But I was doing PGD so they switched me to Dr. Hershlag. I was happy at first but lately he and his nurses have been dropping the ball on many details.
I'm not sure if it's too late to switch docs (I started lupron yesterday) and I dont know who else does the PGD

We've been seeing Dr. Cohen and couldn't be happier. Everyone on the staff is so nice & helpful. We've seen Dr. Rosenfeld on a few occasions and were very comfortable with him also.

We met with Dr Rosenfeld over a week ago & clicked right away. We are eagerly anticipating working with him

I started going there recently and have not met any other docs other than my doc. I don't like the doc I am seeing at this practice. At my last appointment, when I greeted with a good morning, the response I got was 'let's get this started'. It would be nice to be greeted with a hi or how are you. Its like that every time. Doesn't explain anything unless I ask questions. Had an IUI last week and am not confident that the timing was right. If I have to this again next month would like to switch to Dr. Rosenfield. He did my HSG and I felt very comfortable with him. Want to switch to him but kinda feel ackward.

I started off with Dr. Rosenfeld and I loved him, when I went on to do IVF I saw all the Dr.'s in the practice, I liked them all, some are more "business like" than others, Dr. Scholl is lovely, but definately more chatty when DH wasn't with me. I got my bfp on my 2nd IVF there and now have a 14 week son. I was very happy there and felt I was treated with compassion and kindness. Good luck

I see Dr. Cohen. So far I am happy with him. I also saw Dr. Chu once, she was very nice and Dr. Rosenthal did my HSG. This was painful so I can't so I liked him.

My girlfriend went to them and got pregnant her 2nd IVF cycle....her DS is now going to be 1 this month! I know that she loved the practice.

I just had my last visit there and was released to my OB/GYN 9 1/2 weeks pregnant.
Dr. Hershlag was my main dr and yes he just rushed u , gave u scripts etc...... but....
he got my pregnant! so he is my hero.

I had 3 IUI's.... the 1st 2 were done by other drs there and last was hershlag.
he did the job. he can be a hard a$$ at times but that is b/c he knows his stuff.

u also have to be your own advocate tho too.
hershlag wanted me to do clomid along w/ IUI (he was very stern about following his protocol) but I wanted to try a couple cycles of natural IUI.... and it worked. sometimes drs are there to guide u but u need to make your own decision.

they are a great office!!!

stick w/ them! altho just be prepared to wait like 45 minutes to an hour to see a dr...... with your appmt.

what stage are u up to? did u get all your tests yet?
