North Shore Manhasset (classes related)

For those delivering there, do you know who do I call to register for hospital tour and classes (if they offer any) like: childbirth (lamaze), breastfeeding? Do I schedule them with the hospital or should I call my doctor's office??

I have a number to call (from their recording) to schedule the tour but keep getting voicemail and I already left 2 messages and none called me back....

My North Shore information packets says to call 516-562-4423 to register for the hospital tours. It took me forever to get in touch with someone and it was impossible to get her to call me back. Good luck!

They do offer prenatal and parenting classes (I'm not sure of the schedule). My packet says to call the Center for Parent Education in the North Shore-LIJ Health System Dept of Professional and Public Health Education at 516-465-2500.

You can call prohealth care they are 3 minutes away from north shore .. they do the lamaze classes there once a week for 4 weeks in the evening. Through this class you will get a full tour of the hospital!!! Here is the number.. when you call the obgn office just ask them the number for their lamaze classes. The girl that used to be in charge of it was named Patti Desteffano. Dont know if she is still in charge of it but here is the number.. 516 608 6800.

I left a message for the tour and they never called me back, I had to keep calling. Keep up w/ it bc once I got in touch w/ them I had to wait almost a month for the tour appt.
