North/South Carolina?
DH and I want to take an anniversary trip to North or South Carolina. We're really interested in a condo for a few days so we can cook breakfast and make lunch and we'll probably go out to dinner. Anyone know anything about this type of trip?

Re: North/South Carolina?
A lot of vacation rentals in both North and South Carolina do rent condos. I used to do it all the time. But those are by the beach. Wilimington, Myrtle Beach, etc.... I am not sure inland.

We would definitely want to do something by the beach. Do you remember where you went for your rental?

Re: North/South Carolina?
It was about 6 years ago since I went to Myrtle Beach. I used Caravelle resort and went to the Carolina Dunes because they had full kitchen condos. It was cheap off season.
I am sure there are plenty of other resorts. If you go in the winter they have a lot of vacancies.

Re: North/South Carolina?
my parents own a house in North carolina on the outer banks. their house is on cape hatteras national seashore. its not a super built up area there- but VERY relaxing! there are other towns like kitty hawk, duck that are a little more built up and have more to do right there- i'm sure you can find condos or a small house to rent. most of them have full kitchen set ups. you can go to the cape hatteras lighthouse, you can go see the wright brothers first flight monument, and its definitely a great place to just chill on the beach for a week. you can check out SUN REALTY or hatteras realty or surf and sound realty to look at rentals that are available...

Re: North/South Carolina?
We rented a house on Topsail Island (Surf City) a couple of summers ago. It's about a 40 minute drive from Wimington.

Re: North/South Carolina?
We just used hatteras reality to book a house for next summer. They just sent us the rental book and they had some condos as well as small homes.
we looked at other homes through twiddy, which serves a different area

Re: North/South Carolina?
I've stayed on Emerald Isle a few times, and we rented using this site: http://www.bluewatergmac.com
It was a breeze!

My parents go to Hilton Head at least twice a year and just purchased a time share there. They absolutely love it. We'll be going with them for the first time this summer!
