My DS's preschool is marching too!! And my bf work for the fishmarket and they have a booth set up, so we're looking foward to it!

Race is on Saturday....DH's band will be playing at the race.
Parade starts at noon on Sunday. We don't have our "marching orders" yet for my son's school so I'm not sure what they're doing.

So I have a homecoming parade (HS where I teach) on Saturday and Cow Harbor on Sunday?

I have no idea how in the heck we would get down there
I'm sure DH will have some phantom illness like he did for the festival
Darn, Tah-win-ZAH loves to rock out to Snuffleupagus's band... they'll miss him.

This is one of the things I miss most about home (besides my family and friends). I love Cow Harbor Day. Maybe next year we will try to be in NY for it.

Tell the Toddler there will be bands at Cow Harbor Day too. I doubt I'll be able to drag Snuffleupagus down for the Parade. He's playing on Race Day.
I'm going to ask my sister (not the evil one) if she wants to go otherwise we're out numbered.

Cow Harbor Day" is an annual festival in the village consisting of a parade, live music, numerous street vendors, boat races and demonstrations by the U.S. Coast Guard, among other attractions. Each year an appearance is made by the Regimental Band of the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY. Since 1977, there has also been a popular 10 kilometer footrace, the Great Cow Harbor 10K, which takes place every September. The New York Road Runners Club considers the race an important run-up to the annual New York City Marathon, and practicing runners can be seen charging up the local hills starting in August.

Good Luck, I had planned on running too but didn't plan on being knocked up!
We'll be there! I love Cow Harbor Day and the sense of community, it always makes me wish I lived there!
