Not a good update </3
Yesterday they only saw an empty sac. I should've been 7 weeks 2 days. What has me worried is that on two occasions they had confirmed they saw a yolk sac. So where did it go? I'm worried that because of having a retroverted uterus what if something is there but we're just not seeing it. I just want to be as sure as we can be. Going back this AM for hopefully a more thorough sono then I may even ask to go to radiology. They had suggested this a week ago on Friday but then never sent me. My numbers went from 6,900 on 12/7 to 13,000 on 12/12 and they just said they looked good and to come back in a week. My numbers were at 21,000 yesterday so still going up but I guess not increasing as quickly anymore? They want me to go in for a d&c on either Monday or Tuesday. I'm going to schedule it for Tuesday since Monday is my birthday :(, ugh worst timing ever. We really thought this was the one. My numbers were so much better this time and everything was looking good and now just an empty sac? So heartbroken  . Please send some extra prayers our way, thank you.

Update: Thank you for your good thoughts. We met with the doctor that we prefer and she reassured me during and after the sono that nothing was there. We feel we have some closure now and can move forward with the d&c. Hopefully I will be back on this board soon enough!

I'm so sorry you're going through this. If it's a true blighted ovum it would only be an empty sac. Unfortunately numbers continue to rise even if the sac is empty giving false hope. By 7w you should see a yolk and fetal pole by that point and most see heartbeats. Hopefully the scan at radiology will be more thorough.

I am so so sorry. I had the exact same thing happen to me in September. I was supposed to be almost 8 weeks and all we saw was the sac. My HCG levels were 195,000! so I know all to well how much of a let down it is to be encouraged by rising levels only to get the heartbreaking news. Sending you so many prayers and hoping you get a more thorough scan today!
