Not eating healthy...any suggestion?

it finally occurred to me that i haven't been eating healthy or eating much at all. the only time i would eat is if i'm really hungry. when i do, it's very little. i noticed i'm getting stomach pain for being too hungry and this happens alot. just now for lunch, i had a few bites of a sandwich cuz it didn't taste good so i ate a big pickle!

i know i should be eating more and more healthy but i just don't feel like eating. i'm already in my 16 weeks...so it's not the first trimester symptons. anyone else have this problem?

i worry that it will affect the baby's growth. Chat Icon

Im with you. I still have aversions to most things that are good for me. Im in my 16th week also. Sometimes I worry that Im not eating healthy enough, but my dr. said that as long as I keep taking the prenatal vitamin, that everything should be fine. ( I also seem to really like pickles lately). I try to eat something several times throughout the day...like a pretzel rod or something just to keep food in my stomach.

Try something small - like a handful of grapes, or those cracker sandwiches w/ peanut butter.

if you are taking prenatals it should definitely help.

Also, are you gaining weight? Its probably not healthy if you aren't.. and maybe you shoult try to eat more fruit? is there any fruit that you can handle?

I ate lots of bread/bread products in the first trimester b/c of nausea. Now I find I am still eating a lot of bread b/c of heartburn. I try to get in 3 servings of dairy a day and as much fruit as possible, since I haven't had much of an appetite for vegetables. I was eating eggs fairly frequently for a while, since they didn't bother my stomach.

Lately, I have been trying to eat small meals, which seems to help too.
