Not Parenting related but thought I would ask- Mercy Hospital
Mercy Hospital in Rockville Centre
Does anyone know anything about it...Good...Bad or Otherwise....

I think it's a great family hospital. I grew up right around there and my pediatrician had his practice in the Ryan bldg...he was so great I kept him until he retired, when I was 21.
My younger sister was born there. I've never had any problems there at all, staff is friendly.

Both my kids were delivered at Mercy hospital. I spent most of my last pregnancy as an inpatient there on bedrest (MONTHS) and the staff went above and beyond to keep me comfortable. I liked that they have a great NICU which is what we needed and credit our healthy DD to. I have friends who delivered at other hospitals and though pretty received subpar care so you'll find there will be differing opinions on hospitals.

I worked at Mercy for 8 years and it has seen it's ups and downs but thankfully, the L&D and Maternity departments always had exceptional service. The nurse who manages both departments is amazing and they maintain a pretty good repuation when it comes back down to those patient surveys they send out after you are discharged.

I know someone who delivered there and did not complain. Also, she got a very special breakfast the next day that she still remembers!

i have no experience with their L&D department, but my mother has had numerous surgeries and other tests and procedures done there (she is a cancer survivor) and they have always been fantastic. i had a lumptectomy there (it was ambulatory so i was out later that day) and everyone was great. i had no problems. as a family, we love Mercy. My sister was born there, but that was almost 30 years ago so i am sure things are different in L&D now.

All depends on what you are looking for. I work on an ambulance in the area and bring them patients all the time. I have good stories and bad stories all depends. They dont have ped's anymore. If you bring a child to the ER and there is somthing wrong and or the child needs to be admitted they are transfered out. So this is not a good case. They do have NICU and L&D. But that is the extent of there pediatric department. If you have somthing specific that you want to know about please feel free to FM me.
