Not really a parenting issue- BUT... Ovulation pain?
every since I had DD i've had really intense- what I THINK is ovulation pain. it is only on my right side. the first time - i don't know if you remember- i went to the hopsital b/c I thought I was having an appendix attack. approx 35 days later I got the SAME pain... and now- 33 days after that- the SAME pain again. it has to be ovulation, right? it's just really really really painful- it doubles me over- last night it woke me up from deep sleep this AM at 2.30 and now i feel like I have a stitch on my right side. is this normal? I tried calling my doctor but it is impossible to get anyone on the phone to talk to.

I had something similar and my dr. said it could be an ovarian cyst...they come and go -- or a fibroid. I am going for a sonogram tomorrow even though I havent had the pain that bad in a while.

update. spoke with the doc. i'm going next week in the meantime I have to get the medical records from my emergency room visit from December which I think had to do with this- not the kidney stones they thought I could have (they never saw stones- just assumed that it was one)....

Re: Not really a parenting issue- BUT... Ovulation pain?
Wow that is interesting I had the exact same thing! I had DS then 3 weeks later I was getting such intense pains that I actually could not eat lost 40 pounds and went into shock and was hospitalized for a week. I had every test you could imagine and some more than once, Sonogram, CAT scan, Nuclear imaging of gallbladder, endoscopy.......and NOTHING turned up abnormal-while that should be good news that did not solve my problem, no cyst ,ulcer, fibroid, bowel obstruction... I did happen to have a C-section and they thought that for some reason my intestines were not "waking back up" so they put me on an ati-spasm med (Hyoscyamine) & changed my diet :first just liquid (ice chips, soup broth, and ices (Iatlian Ice...), they they introduced some mild solids back- easy things like toast anything low fat, then slowly I introduced other things back until I was eating normal-it helped a little the pains are NOTHING like they were but I do still at ovulation time get some pain that to me is not normal. I also knew one other person that had something similar and she was placed on the medication too!-WOW what is this!!!!
