The only thing I can do is put them in the dishwasher. I try not to do that all the time though.

I scrub the whole pot with SOS to get off the spots, which works but also leaves fine little scratches (which I'm fine with).
I'm curious about those special cleaners as well!

I wash them by hand with hot water and soap, never use SOS or Brillo because of scratching, which will make food stick even more. Sometimes I use a paste of baking soda and hot water to clean the pots.
To get rid of the film that sometimes builds up in my frying pans from cooking, I simmer white vinegar for 5 minutes, then let it cool. Stinks really bad, but leave the pans grease free and shiny.

barkeepers friend from BBB
Someone else suggested this and I went there. They had no idea what I was talking about. I'll have to check again.

Really BBB didn't have barkeepers friend? They keep it with all the other products- carpet cleaner, powdered versions of barkeepers friends, oxyclean products, etc.
Well, You can get it at any supermarket as well. I only see powdered version at Stop and Shop but I prefer liquid barkeepers friend and i got that at BBB.

the website says you can get it at any target as well

I would avoid putting them in the dishwasher because they can get discolored. Never tried the Barkeeper's friend but now I'm curious!

Love this stuff!!
I just picked up a new bottle at BBB....it was hard to find, but they keep it in the pots and pans sections on the corner shelves in between the aisles.
