Re: Not sure if anyone follows the Baby Boy Bakery blog

This family appreciates the support and publicity. They've said it helps keep his memory alive.

I shared it because I am amazed at how strong the parents are, how beautiful her blog entries are, and how she's forcing herself to stay in this world living every day the best she can because of her son.

I'm not afraid of sad stories or tragedy. I don't pretend they don't exist. I don't share every sad article or blog out there. This one hit me profoundly, and I know others will feel the same way.

I guess it's my fault for opening up the link but why would you post something so horrific? in my opinion there's no reason to bring it to the attention of others its just sad and upsetting.maybe I'm overreacting because I have a little boy and now this is all I think about.

Because sadly, life is horrific.
If you want to hide from it, fine, but then you can never turn on the news, read the papers, read your newsfeed on facebook, etc.
This family has gotten an outpouring of love and support from the internet community in a horrendous, tragic time and it seems to be helping them get through the horror.
I found it hard to read about too because I have a DD that age, but I'd rather know about it, offer support and take it as a reminder that life is short, to hug my DD a little tighter and to never take anything for granted. Stories like this, as upsetting as they are, have helped put things in perspective for me and reminded me not to sweat the small stuff. My first world problems don't seem so important when I imagine what this poor couple is going through.

Or... This! Perfectly said!!'
