Not sure what I am doing wrong...re: potty training

I thought this weekend would be a great weekend to potty train. We were home most of the weekend and outside. I put him on the potty every 1/2 hour. Told him if he goes pee pee on the potty he would get m&m's. Kept reminding him that if he has to go to tell me and we would go to the potty.

Well, it seemed like he kept holding it and than finally had an accident because he couldnt hold it anymore. As he was going he would tell me "I'm peeing" like he was doing a good job He did the same thing again today.

Any tips?

You might want to try every hour to give him more time/less pressure. I found that worked with Lucas.

Have you tried having your DH show him how to pee standing up? Lucas thought it was a game and took to it easier than sitting...also peed more that way because once it was going he couldn't stop. On the seat he would stop and hold the rest in.
