not sure what to do, please help UPDATE #3

so for the past 3 weeks or so ive had this uncomfortable rib pain on the right side and was relieved once i laid down... since then it has progressivly gotten worse...

now since yesterday it has become excruciating. its on both the right and left sides by my ribs. as well as my lower back. laying down no longer relieves the pain. its no long an uncomfortable feeling its PAIN.... nothing helps. sitting up and standing is worse just going to the bathroom im in tears. DH is at work an hour and 45 min away. my Blood pressure is through the roof right now (i have a automatic one to check it at home)

Do i place a call to the doctor? do i just associate this with growing pains? im 34.5 weeks. and was taken off my T-Pump. i dont really feel contractions but am concerned that maybe this pain is a different type of contraction and im ignoring it. i just really dont know what to do... i REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY DONT want to go to the hosptail AGAIN unless im going to have this baby! i hate being there and im a horrible patient!

i just really dont know how much more i can take. i know they want to get me to at least 36 weeks but im not sure im going to make it physically or mentallly

ETA: i have not noticed losing anything that looks like a mucous plug, and i have some very sharp pains in my whoohaa.. "lightening croch" when im sitting up

Update #1
i put a cal in to the office at 228 and they said there is no doc in the office today they would page the on call and have him call me back.. im still waiting

in the mean time my cousin called and said it sounds like back labor and she hopes he calls soon.

i didnt feel my water break and i didnt lose my mucus plug but im so super uncomfortable. DH is over an hour away from home. im scared thsi really is labor and i dont know it!

so i took a shower and im about to start blow drying my hair just incase!

UPDATE#2.
Dr. just called me back hes concerned with preeclampsia and doesnt want to take any chances... so im headed to L&D.. i really want to have this baby!!! im way to anxious!

well ladies thank you all so much for all your advice! i went to l&d.... my blood pressure was 152/104 when i got there. and slowly started dropping my doc was already there and came in right away. they were extremely concerned with the right upper quad. pain because thats a sign of preeclampsia... they drew blood and did urine test.. everything came back PERFECT! thank god the contractions were slightly outta control they started to space out so that was good. he did an internal my 100th in the past 3 weeks i swear i should start charging admission! im still a finger tip dilated and my cervix is very soft and thining. now he said hed love to keep my preggo till 38 weeks but as it looks by both my contractions with the meds and cervix ill most likely only get 2 more weeks! so heres to the next trip to L&D coming home with my beautiful little

If your BP is through the roof, call the doctor asap!!! I know you don't want to go to the hospital but you don't want anything to happen to you or the baby either.

I would make an appointment with your OB and talk to him/her about it.

I would call the doc about the high blood pressure, without a doubt.

The rib pain- while i'm sure is painful, I don't think it would be a labor thing. You have a very small frame accomodating a big baby. She is probably pressing up against them. I have had a lot of discomfort in my ribs lately as well, though not pain.

I know you're scared and don't want to be in the hospital again but you must call your doctor about your high BP ASAP. Do you still feel the baby moving? It is so important and very threatening to the baby. Just trust me on that, i know someone who experienced something similar.

yes i stil feel the baby moving... as long as im laying down my pressure is fine.. when i sit up or stand up it goes very high

First off to you.

I think the only issue is that your blood pressure is going up although it is a good sign the your resting pressure is normal. How high is it getting?
I would just call the Dr. and see what they say about it.

Unfortunately, with respect to the rib pain I think it is just par for the course. I also have a very small frame and with my DD my ribs were in CONSTANT terrible pain *she has a birthmark on her tooshie that I swear is from my ribs
) The good news is that when the baby "truly" drops it does alleviate it "a little". I think it is unlikely that they are contractions.

But I definately think you should let your doctors know about the BP


ETA: is there any way they can switch you to Procardia for the contrax? Only because it also helps to keep your pressure down.

when i was there on monday they were aware of the blood pressure and the fact that it goes down when im laying down. sitting up it goes to about 160/100. today it hasnt been higher then 148/98 laying down its 118/78

hope you are ok! I say call, it can never hurt and its their job - they would rather you be safe than sorry!...I didn't think I was in labor and 20 mins later...here was my dd! (but it was different - i was over 40 weeks!)

If the pain gets worse and the dr still hasn't called you back I would just go to L&D anyway. Good luck

i think this is it and ill be having this little girl tonight or tomorrow! im freaking the F out right now!!!!!! waiting to hear back from the doc. he was in the OR so hes starting to return his calls now!
