Not sure where this belongs,but...NY- Did you get your STATE tax return yet?and ..

how long ago you do your taxes? How long did it take for the return to come?
It's been almost a month for us and we still didn't get it

I was JUST about to post the exact same thing.

We filed our taxes right around Valentine's Day and still don't have ours. We did get our federal return, though.

I e-filed on 2/18 and received my federal but not my state. I remember someone posting on here that we might not get them till Sept

I just got off the phone with my dad (who, in his retirement, manages an H&R Block office). He said some people HAVE gotten state returns, but the majority of people have not. No one seems to know what the deal is, though...

Hmmmm ..I filed my taxes on 2/14. My federal came through on 2/25 and my state on 2/27.

My DH (we filed MFS) and he only received his federal but not his state

got my fed last week

checked the state online and it says it's in the final stages of processing and I should expect my refund in 30 days...

We got our taxes doner earlier this month.

According to my accountant, who owns a large acct. firm in Suffolk, NYS is not issuing returns until Sept.

Maybe they were issuing them for people who filed early but because of the state deficit and need for the stimulus package from the Federal gov't, they have been delayed.

It could be worse, CA residents aren't getting ANYTHING back just a credit towards next year's return as the state is completely bankrupt.

We got our state refund within 2 weeks of filing. It was tiny though. I wonder if the size of the refund has anything to do with the delay?

I filed in January and got mine a while ago. Their site didn't update until a couple days before it was deposited.

Got mine already but I think they're just reviewing the refunds that are over a certain amt (maybe $1,000) to make sure it's correct.

I actually owed the state... and they took it the exact day they said they would!!
