Not sure where to post this...Photoshop Questions
I so desperately want to learn how to make my holiday cards with this program...I have elements at home and have started to play around with it but have some questions...
How do you set up pictures in a frame an what size is good to use? For example if I wanted to do something like these:
How do you bring over the pic so small and in a small box?
Also...
Where can I get nice graphics/borders - like the ones on these cards?

Well, a way around setting up the frame is to just draw a box of whatever color you want to use. So if you want that white box from side to side, just draw a full white rectangle and then place the pictures by themselves spaced evenly.
That's what I would have done since it's less steps and achieves the same thing.
Also, you can probably make that border yourself using the shapes tool. All you have to do is pick the background color, draw the size box you want with that color, then add the shapes how you want them. This person just added the snowflakes probably using the Symbol font and then just varied the opacity and size of each snowflake.

You can get the white frames in Elements by selecting "Frames" under "Artwork" on the right hand side. There are a whole bunch of frames you can choose from, double click it and it drops it in, then you can move it, resize, etc. and add your pic.
As far as the borders, on the Craft board Barb has posted links to a few sites. The thread is titled Digital scrapbooking (I think)
HTH!

You would use the "Stroke" option under Layer Styles for the thin white box around the photo.
But for the top card that you had, I would make a white rectangle box & put the photos on top of that.

That's usually what i do (but mainly because i haven't mastered the art of Frame-making in photoshop yet ). For strips like that though, the rectangle tool is so easy and convinient!
