Now that I need a new carseat... (insurance question)

So I just spoke with a claims rep for our accident. I asked her about the carseat and she said that I have to go through my homeowners insurance to get reimbursed for that. Same goes for the stroller frame.

This doesn't sound right to me...

Our ins replaced it. When my dh had an accident, we got a check for the retail price of our carseat the same day the claims adjuster came to assess the damage.

I would speak to someone else at the insurance company. Not sure why you would go thru homeowners insurance

I just spoke with the one and only SHORTY and she told me what needed to be done - apparently my ins. comp has its head up its arse.

My mom got in a car accident with her car seat in the back seat, her car insurance paid for it. Definitely talk to someone else.
