NPR - easy, yummy recipe for new years eve?

this is totally NPR....

DH is working ALL day on new years eve. He gets home around 730 or 800. I asked him last night what he wants for dinner that night - I thought I would get some NICE take out, which is what we did on Christmas Eve..... but he said please don't order anything.

I canNOT cook! Seriously, I am the worst. I would like to make a nice dinner, but something really easy... if that's possible!

my best suggestions are always crockpot meals they are simple and anyone can do them... heres my suggestions..

go to the food store and go to the asile where they have all the packets of seasonings... McCormicks makes Slow cooker packets... you fix it and forget it... ive made just about all of them and heres my favorites..

Italian Herbed Chicken over minute rice
Beef Stroganoff over egg noodles
Beef Stew with egg noodles (this i add sweet potatoes and white potatoes too)

they are all delicious and taste like youve spent hours slaving over it!
i highly recommend cooking them for the 8hours on low instead of 4hr on high. it makes the meat much more tender and fallapart i think ill be making one of them tonight actually!
