I only went there once. I was PG, and they saw me the same day.

The dermatology group on Main Street in Bay Shore or Dr. Pamela Basuk on Union Blvd in Bay Shore are both good.

I started going to Advanced Dermatology last month and I see Dr. Dispaltro. He is great! I'll be getting MOHS surgery done there this month and I couldn't be happier with the group.

Re: NPR: dermatologist recommendation in the islip/west islip/babylon area
FYI I went there once (three years ago) and HATED it. I was sent there by my PCP due to a rash on my foot. I was sick and had to wait nearly an hour. I wound up seeing a very young "barbie" looking doctor who looked at my feet for all of 3 seconds (this is not an exageration), said she didnt know what it was and tried to send me away with a cream. I pitched a fit and she said that next time I could make an appt. with Dr. Applebaum because "he's really good." I assume this meant that she wasnt?
I just looked at the website and it would appear that she is not there anymore so you might be in luck

Ditto on The Dermatology Group - I see Dr. Pardes. Love him - he's so bizarre, it's funny.

ugg well thats sad!
i just looked on their website & it looks like its more of a place for cosmetic procedures -- like lazer or something... is that the case?
i just need someone to look at my skin & give me an Rx for acne -- i dont know what else to do b/c NOTHING over the counter is working!
i used to see a dermatologist in garden city but wanted something closer to me since i dont live in nassau anymore

Re: NPR: dermatologist recommendation in the islip/west islip/babylon area
I see Dr. A at Advanced for my eczema & I like him. My brother goes to the practice as well & once saw a Dr. that he hated, but on my advice made sure that he saw Dr. A the next time and he seems to like him (he still goes there). I can't remember why he sees him...I think for both acne & a recurring, non-eczema type rash

Based upon the "survey" I needed to fill out as a new patient, i got the impression they would really have liked for me to sign up for some Botox

There is always a ton of teenagers in the waiting room when I go there and I used to go there for psoriasis, so I know they deal with regular skin problems.
